A Gift that Generates Income for You

A Saint Patrick High School Charitable Gift Annuity is a great way to generate income for yourself and loved ones. This is a contract between yourself and St. Pat's that is part gift and part annuity. In addition to the annuity payment, you would receive a charitable income tax deduction and a portion of each annuity payment may be tax-free. For those of you who might consider a gift to St. Pat's but would like to include your gift as part of your overall estate plan, this would be a great option for you. A minimum of $10,000 is required to begin an annuity at St. Pat's. Our gift annuity program is managed by the Chicago Community Trust.

Here are 10 reasons to like gift annuities:

Simple, easy contract
Fixed income stream
Income paid for life
Higher payouts with age
Tax-free income portion
Capital gain paid over life
High effective return
Bypass of gain on gift part
Tax savings from deduction
Satisfaction that you have made a farsighted gift which will secure the future of Saint Patrick High School

Did you know that 70% of the population does not have a living will? Dave Glatz '86, is not part of that national statistic. Dave and his wife, Sheila, finalized their will this year and named Saint Patrick as a remainder in their estate. More on St. Pat's Is the Reason I Stay Grounded >>.

My Life As A Shamrock
My life as a Shamrock has been full of surprises. From the morning I sang the school song in front of the entire freshman class, to the second I received my diploma, I have been eternally grateful to this institution. More on My Life As A Shamrock >>.
