Hannon's Bequest

Hannon's Bequest

When he attended Saint Patrick High School between 1963 - 1967, Bob Hannon was always an active, happy, and involved student. What kept him especially busy were his membership in the Men's Chorus for four years and his responsibilities as Athletic Manager for three. School spirit was at the core of his personality, and he knew from his earliest years at St. Pat's that he wanted to be a teacher. And an effective and enthusiastic teacher he was... throughout his entire professional life! When his unexpected and shocking death took place on April 22, 2003, the entire John Hersey High School community - and, of course, his family and legion of friends - mourned the loss of their extremely popular and charismatic Assistant Principal.

As his final testimony to his belief in a solid education, his love of young people and the promise they hold, and his affection for the two high schools that most directly affected his life, Bob's estate included a bequest to both Saint Patrick and Hersey High Schools. His wish was that his $20,000 legacy to St. Pat's support our financial aid program for needy, worthy, and involved students.

You too may be thinking about making a bequest to Saint Patrick High School. The language below shows how a bequest can very easily be included in your will. Feel free to print the bequest language page and provide it to your attorney. If he or she has any questions, please have them contact Gary D. Santella at 773-282-8844 ext 224.
